Every learner has a pathway
We build from each student's current readiness and provide instruction, intervention, and challenge as needed.
Meet the founder
BYA is founded by IshYAH M YisraEL, an educator with nearly two decades of experience working with children, youth, and families.
His service spans K–12 classroom instruction across grade levels, student discipline and support, school leadership responsibilities, ministry, and community engagement. This broad experience informs his conviction that students deserve clear expectations, meaningful instruction, cultural relevance, and opportunities to demonstrate what they can do.
His academic and professional development includes sociology, graduate-level education studies, and ongoing preparation in educational leadership.
BYA reflects a lifelong commitment to educational access, student purpose, academic excellence, and service to families and communities.
Meet With the Founder →“We should not simply ask whether students can recall what they were taught. We should ask whether they can understand it, use it, and contribute with it.”
Why BYA exists
Traditional instruction can leave too little room for identity, practical skill, authentic application, and individual differences. BYA aims to address those gaps without compromising academic expectations.
We build from each student's current readiness and provide instruction, intervention, and challenge as needed.
Hebrew cultural grounding and African educational scholarship inform our identity while respecting learners of all backgrounds.
Students show understanding through assessment, explanation, creation, and responsible application.
